A letter to the Christians who oppose Conspiracies

Updated: Aug 21

This is a letter to the body that’s trapped—trapped in comfort, trapped in routine, and worst of all, trapped in tradition. I’m writing to those who seem to fear anything outside their denominational box more than they fear God. This is for those who proclaim they love Jesus… and with the same breath, excuse His Words simply because the truth makes them squirm.

ree

I can’t even count how many times I’ve heard this tired line:

“We need to focus on Jesus and leave these conspiracies alone.”

That line usually shows up the moment I point out that the Bible describes God’s creation as flat, still, and enclosed under a dome. But it’s not just that. I’ve heard the same response when bringing up 9/11, Bohemian Grove, the moon landing hoax, vaccine agendas—including the COVID vaccine—and so on.

Every time I try to bring truth to the surface, someone inevitably shows up with the same tired excuse:

“Just focus on Jesus.”

Let’s clear something up right now—don’t twist this. Don’t take it out of context. Jesus is and always will be the center. He is the cornerstone, the foundation, the only reason we have anything worth saying in the first place. I’m not dethroning Christ, I’m confronting a lazy cop-out used by people who don’t actually want to know the full truth. Most of the time, it’s their fear talking, or pride. Sometimes it's both speaking. And just like the lady with the spirit of divination traveling with Paul... These things (the fear, the pride, the uncomfortableness, etc.) are tying to hide behind truth, attempting to use Jesus as their own shield to avoid being exposed. "These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation." The words of the fortune teller. –Acts 16.

So, let’s start with this basic but powerful fact:

Our faith comes from the Word of God.

How else would we even know Jesus? If the Bible is our foundation, why on earth would we ignore anything it says?

2 Timothy 3:16 – “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

The Bible is not a collection of men’s thoughts. It is authored by God Himself. The men who penned it weren’t freelance writers—they were co-laborers with the Creator. He didn’t need their help, He chose it. He could’ve spoken the Bible into existence just like He did creation, but instead, He partnered with mankind. So let’s be clear—the Bible is God’s Word. His final authority. All of it.

And it doesn’t just say some Scripture is useful. It says all of it is profitable—for what? Doctrine, reproof, correction, righteousness. That includes the parts you’re uncomfortable with.

So when people want to say we need to forget the conspiracies, my response is —The Bible Is Full of Conspiracies. Documented conspiracies. From Genesis to Revelation.

Just so the readers understand, it's appropriate to define the word.

The definition of conspire is: “To make secret plans jointly to commit an unlawful or harmful act.”

Sound familiar? It should—because the Bible is full of it.

The fallen angels made a pact to come to earth and corrupt mankind’s genome.

Joseph’s brothers plotted to kill him, then sold him and lied to their father.

Jacob and Rebekah conspired against Isaac to steal Esau’s blessing.

Pharaoh and his magicians plotted against Moses.

The sons of Korah rebelled against God's chosen leader.

Delilah sold out Samson.

Absalom turned on his father David.

Jezebel hunted Elijah.

Political leaders tried to kill Daniel for praying.

Nehemiah faced constant political sabotage.

Herodias conspired to have John the Baptist beheaded.

The Pharisees plotted the crucifixion of Jesus.

And whole nations conspired against God’s people —Isaiah 7:5-7 for example, tells us Syria and Israel joined forces against Judah.

And we’re only scratching the surface here. Conspiracies aren’t fringe—they’re biblical history. Dismissing people who try to sound the alarm as “conspiracy theorists” is dangerously close to dismissing the prophets themselves.

Noah sounded crazy too —until the rain came.

The Origins of the Term “Conspiracy Theorist” needs to be understood as well. So, here's a quick detour through history. After the Warren Commission's release in 1963 (which “officially” explained JFK’s assassination), the CIA got nervous. So they circulated Document 1035-960 to media outlets and agents instructing them to start labeling critics of the report as “conspiracy theorists.” That term wasn’t created in honesty —it was weaponized to shut people up.

So when Christians toss that term around to discredit truth-tellers, they don’t even realize they’re echoing the CIA —the very people known for conspiring. That’s not discernment, that’s deception. They’re unintentionally siding with the very kinds of systems the Bible has warned us about.

Luke 12:2 – “For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.”

Mark 4:22 – “For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.”

We’re living in the days when hidden things are being revealed. In order for truth to come to light, that literally has to mean that the lies were hiding truths. And lies stem via conspiracy. And yes, even the rise of the internet and social media —tools exposing much of this—was foretold:

Daniel 12:4 – “…seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

We’re there now. Knowledge is exploding. The veil is thinning. So we are gonna keep hearing more and more "conspiracies". But let’s get back to the root objection —“Just focus on Jesus.”

Listen very carefully, Jesus is the door —but the journey doesn’t stop there. He Himself told us what would happen next.

John 14:26 – “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things...”

And

John 16:13 – “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:…”

Read that again: ALL truth.

Not just the parts that feel safe. Not just the doctrines that make you feel cozy. He will lead and guide you into...

Let’s go even further:

Acts 19:2-3 – “He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.”

These all show plain as day —that salvation is only the beginning, not the end. Once we are born again, we are expected to receive the Holy Ghost. And the Spirit doesn’t just float around for fun —He reveals truth. He leads us and guides us. We don't stay stagnant in one spot. Even if it's truth the world labels as foolish.

So when someone brings up a topic you’ve written off as “conspiracy,” are you possibly quenching the Spirit?

1 Thessalonians 5:19 – “Quench not the Spirit.”

Acts 9:5 – “…it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”

You may not like the vessel God is using to speak truth, but that doesn’t mean it’s not Him. You may not like what's being said, but that doesn't mean it's not what He is saying.

1 Corinthians 1:27 – “God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise…”

John 7:24 – “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

1 Thessalonians 5:21 – “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

Here’s the Real Question,

Are you really being led by the Spirit, or by your personal preferences? Are you open to truth —even the kind that shakes your worldview? Or do you dismiss it before even hearing it?

Proverbs 18:13 – “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.”

There are truths out there the Church has been too afraid, too lazy, or too prideful to confront. But the Bible told us it would be this way:

Psalms 2:1-3 – “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying], Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.”

We were warned. We were told there’d be conspiracies. We were told deception would run deep.

So when someone says, “Just focus on Jesus,” understand that’s not always a holy response. Sometimes, it’s a shield used to block conviction. But the journey doesn’t end at salvation —it begins there. The Holy Spirit was sent to reveal. To teach. To guide. When you reject that revelation, you’re not just avoiding uncomfortable topics —you’re resisting God.

Hosea 4:6 – “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee…”

Truth matters. All truth. And that includes the ones we’re conditioned to roll our eyes at.

No, we don’t blindly believe every theory on the internet. But we don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater either. We discern. We test. We prove. We listen, pray, and seek God’s voice.

That’s what mature believers do.

Final Word,

The Church needs boldness again. Not arrogance —but bold humility rooted in the Word, and unafraid of truth. If the Bible is our foundation, we cannot cherry-pick what parts we take seriously. And if the Spirit leads us into all truth, don’t be surprised when some of that truth comes wrapped in what the world mocks as “conspiracy.”

God is not done revealing. Are you done listening? Because the ones who dismissed Noah… drowned. Let that sink in.
